Lake Isabe

It is a mountain lake located in the Ossau Valley at an altitude of 1,925 m and a depth of 25 m. They then follow the path to the large scree slope full of rhododendrons. An airy, narrow path leads them straight to the lake.

Lake Aule

Located in the Pyrenean massif at 2,048 m altitude, this body of water covers 2.5 hectares and is 12 m deep.
To reach this beautiful lake in Béarn (75 km from Camping Béarn Beau Rivage), hikers are advised to start their adventure from the Bisous-Oumette car park below Lake Bisous-Artigues. You then follow a few paths heading north-west over a total distance of 6.8 km. This hike, with an elevation gain of 750 m, takes 4 hours 30 minutes.
Lake Ansabère

This natural lake is the westernmost of the lakes in Béarn. Lake Ansabère is part of the Lescun cirque in the upper Aspe Valley.
To reach it, you can choose an easy hike suitable for all walker profiles. The adventure begins with crossing the Gave d’Ansabère. You then continue through streams, plains, valleys and a forest… At the end of this 5-hour walk, the beauty of the lake is a true reward. It lies 66 km from Camping Beau Rivage.
Lake Montagnon

Known for its heart-shaped silhouette and certainly one of the best-known lakes in Béarn, Lake Montagnon, located 66 km from Camping Beau Rivage, is an unusual lake in the Aspe Valley.
The easiest route to reach it starts from the village of Aydius. It is a 5-hour trail spanning 8.5 km with a 950-metre elevation gain. The most challenging circuit starts in the village of Goust along the Artouste road and the Pourtalet Pass. You can also spot from this path the famous Artouste little train — why not even take it? This is a 23 km hike with a positive elevation gain of 1,550 m.
