The reception
The Navarrenx campsite team will be delighted to welcome you at the reception. Would you like to go for a walk near the campsite, a hike in the Pyrenees, a sporting activity or advice on the unmissable activities to do near the campsite? Don’t hesitate to come and see us, we will be delighted to help you discover the Bearn or our neighbour the Basque Country.
Shops near the campsite
Hungry? Come and taste our homemade pizzas at the campsite’s pizza snack bar.
Need fresh fruit, vegetables, bread or local products? Viviane and her Basco-Béarnaise mobile grocery shop offers you a selection of her best local products at the campsite!
In the village, 200 metres from the campsite, you will find forty or so shopkeepers who will be delighted to welcome you: chemists, grocery shops, restaurants, bars, bakeries, hairdressers, a supermarket, a tobacconist’s shop, etc. All this can be done on foot or by bicycle from the campsite!
Free WIFI
You can benefit from free WIFI on some places of the campsite (and in some chalets and pitches). An access code will be given to you on arrival.
Campsite with laundry facilities in Navarrenx
Our campsite laundry consists of a washing machine and a dryer. If you wish to wash your clothes by hand, there is a washing machine available.
You will also find an ironing board and iron as well as clothes racks and baskets.
Motor home service area
Our campsite has a motorhome service area. You will have the possibility to empty your vehicle, empty the black and grey water and fill your water tank.
The Grand Confort pitches are provided with water and sanitation on the pitch.
Miscellaneous rentals
Sheets (pillowcase, flat sheet and fitted sheet) in cotton or soft paper are available for hire, as well as refrigerators.
But also loan at the reception of buoys, swimming goggles, hair dryers etc…
Restaurant and bar in Navarrenx
The pizza chalet near Pau
Come and taste our delicious home-made pizzas and chips at the pizza chalet in Navarrenx. You can sit under the pergola overlooking the pool or under our marquee. Open 6 evenings a week in high season.
The caravan bar
Beers and wines from Béarn, cocktails but also local ice creams from the south-west and waffles are offered at the bar, near Pau, in a vintage atmosphere.

Campsite with activities in Navarrenx
Tennis at the foot of the ramparts of Navarrenx
Beginner ? Classified? Come and hit the ball on the 2 tennis courts located below the campsite in a magnificent setting at the foot of the ramparts of the fortified town of Navarrenx. We lend you balls and rackets for children at the reception. The tennis is completely free.
The petanque ground near Pau
Do you shoot or do you point? In the sunny south-west, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, holidays also rhyme with pétanque! Come and discover or improve your skills in this game and meet other players in a friendly atmosphere on the petanque pitch of our campsite!
Campsite with playground and table tennis
The campsite has a children’s playground with a slide, net, spring games and a table tennis table. We can lend you table tennis rackets and balls at the reception.
Concerts and children’s entertainment in Navarrenx
Our campsite is the perfect place to recharge your batteries. It is in this spirit and to preserve the tranquillity of all that the campsite does not organize big theme evenings but rather small family animations: magician, wooden games for the children but also live music concerts with local Basque or Béarn singers and musicians.
Activities around the campsite
Rafting, canoeing, paddle in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques
The Beau Rivage campsite in Navarrenx is ideally situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees, but it is also on the banks of a river: the Gave d’Oloron. It is the perfect place to practice a white water sport.
For half a day or a full day, raft, paddle, kayak or canoe down the Gave d’Oloron below the campsite.
Hiking in the Pyrenees
The most beautiful walks are less than an hour away from the campsite. Don’t hesitate and discover the hiking trails of the Bearn and the Basque Country.
Come and admire the famous valleys of Barétous, Aspe (the Cirque de Lescun) and Ossau (Bious Artigues lake and Artouste) without forgetting the Pyrenees National Park. You will find hikes for all levels.
Walks around the campsite
Starting from the Camping Beau Rivage, a multitude of walks are available to you.
Start by visiting the ramparts in Navarrenx, labelled the most beautiful village in France, Navarrenx is not to be missed! It is one of our oldest towns and the first bastioned town in France.
From the campsite, you can also enjoy beautiful walks combining meadows, forests, waterways and heritage. This is part of the gentle landscape of the Béarn des Gaves. The walks will offer you a fascinating view of the nearby Pyrenees and our neighbour the Basque Country.
Bike and motorbike rides
Whether you ride a mountain bike, a VTC or an electric bike, you will find what you are looking for at the Beau Rivage campsite located south of Orthez and west of Pau.
The trails near the campsite are relatively varied: stony paths, dirt roads, slightly wetter paths… all on the hillsides around the beautiful village of Navarrenx. There are also some relatively easy and pleasant technical trails.
A little further on: the “voie verte” in Salies de Béarn is particularly suitable for family walks.
Motorcyclists, there are many rides from the campsite to enjoy the landscapes of the Bearn, the Basque Country and the magnificent passes of the Pyrenees. Let your engine rumble to enjoy rides of varying lengths and circuits for all levels.
